At the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020 there was an outbreak of pneumonia in the city of Wuhan caused by a new virus. This signalled the start of the deadliest and most severe infectious disease crisis in living memory. Nothing has been the same since. I spent a month working on the COVID-19 response with the risk communication team in WHO headquarters in Geneva in February 2020. Since March 2020, though, I have been working with WHO teams at country-level: first in Lao PDR and then in the Philippines. I have not had much time to write a blog but I am posting some stories from the field on my social media channels on Facebook and LinkedIn. Please feel free to comment on or share my posts.
